I must admit I have a hard time talking about myself and will do my best! At a very young age my mother said I preferred to doodle with crayons and a pad as I seldom played with dolls! Then in my pre-teens became involved with young children and taught Sunday school classes for many years. Attended a Technical High School and excelled in the Early Childhood department. Throughout the past five years what has helped me grow as an artist’s is a comment which I’ll never forget, made by my former Early Childhood teacher, “incorporate your environment to create innovative lesson plans for your children and you’ll be surprised at the outcome”. It’s what I do before I begin to create! Honestly, at times, I’ll have such a complete and utter mess in my craft area! Yet, my best art pieces and most crazy concoctions come from amidst this colossal mess. Or at times walking down the aisle in a store I’ll get an idea and when I have a second will jot down these ideas on a notebook and refer to it when I’m sort of stuck and can’t quite figure out what to do!! Most of all I think my gift comes from God! So grateful and humbled to share with others my joy through art!
A little about me, I reside in Hudson NH, which is about an hour and a half from Boston, Massachusetts. No, I don’t have a wicked Boston accent. However, I do say ‘wicked’ a lot!! My dh has the wicked accent and at times will say, dunk’n donah and pa’k-dah-kar...lol! Last, our 9 yr old son Michael keeps me quite busy too!! I also speak, read, and write in Spanish. My background is in Early Education.
Innovative Stamp Creations has been in business for 5+ yrs. In 1999 I was work force reduced and could not find the ideal part time job and decided to stay home and become a full time mom! Well, one day I decided to make invitations for my son’s bday and walked down the rubber stamp isle at a local Michaels craft store and bought $100.00 worth of stamps/pads/more!! Wasn’t quiet sure how to use them... so purchased a couple of rubber stamp magazines! Oh my, then once I saw what I could buy from various online rubber stamps –I became overwhelmed!! My 1st online rubber stamp purchases were from IOF and Biblical Impressions. Then was exposed to the various online yahoo groups, and of course joined many swaps, which was another opportunity to learn many techniques -from so many talented Stampers!
Before ISC I made card samples for Sonlight Impressions and also was the Event Coordinator at a local Michaels craft store. Most recently accepted a part time social worker position helping low income families. I consider myself a mixed media artist and thoroughly enjoy altering anything and everything! The smaller the surface the more my creative juices overflow! Last, I press and cut all our stamps as well as process all ISC orders! When I have lots of spare-time will draw some images for our stamp line. Most of artsy unmounted stamps are my ideas and drawn by a handful of incredible Artist’s! We also carry Ranger products as well as other mediums which I use to create art! Be sure to join our online newsletter:
